In the biggest single-workplace raid in the history of the United States, federal agents apprehended nearly 600 immigrants Monday accused of being in the country illegally, tipped off by a union worker several years ago.

Around 100 of those taken into custody were released shortly after for “humanitarian” reasons.  Some were mothers who needed to take care of their children.  They were fitted with a monitoring device and ordered to report to court in a month.

The remaining suspected illegals were taken to an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) facility in Louisiana.  Some are being charged with using false social security numbers and forged documents to enable their stay in the United States.

At the moment, no company executives have been detained.  The company insists that it uses every mechanism at its disposal to check the legal status of its workers and will not hire illegal immigrants.

Don’t forget about the hundreds of victims, those whose ID they stole. I can tell you first hand, it takes years to correct. In fact it can’t ever be fully corrected. The only thing worse than stealing a person’s ID, is stealing their life. I hope these miserable thieves’s get 20 years in jail, minimum.
