It is not just Republicans, Libertarians and other freedom-loving Americans who are watching with disgust as Barack Obama and our Congress turns the nation into a cesspool of debt and social spending, but Conservative-minded Democrats are growing more than a little nervous about the administration’s tendency to spend money that our nation does not have, and grow government in areas that Americans do not want.
“We are eager and impatient, so you’re seeing a little bit of that,” said Chris Redfern, chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party. “Elections have results, and those in the base are the most anxious to achieve what’s promised in the election. That’s why Democrats are showing some impatience in reaching our goal.”
Those goals, according to some Democrats, never included hugely expensive bailout bills and a complete government control of health care, something the Congressional Budget Office argues is not fiscally responsible, nor is Obama’s current spending history sustainable.
Democratic strategist Steve Glorioso said Missouri voters who had high hopes for an Obama presidency are growing more anxious and disappointed as the economy continues its slide downward and unemployment remains on its upward trend.
“People are scared,” Glorioso said. “This is the worst economic time anyone under the age of 80 has ever experienced, and you can’t discount people being afraid. Now that we are in July, the fear is turning to disappointment that the president hasn’t fixed everything yet. I don’t know why they thought he could change everything by now, but some did.”
Editorializing: Anyone who looks towards the president or the government to “fix everything” will always be sorely disappointed. Government is here to make sure your rights under the law are not trampled on, not to nurture you from cradle to grave. Until Americans realize this, things will never get better.
Polls largely agree that the president’s job approval rating is slipping. Polls also show that more Americans than ever are skeptical of Obama’s bailout measure, a federal initiative that a recent Rasmussen survey indicated a large majority believe Wall Street benefited much more than the American taxpayer.

I think Obama is doing a nasty job. Most people seem to think so too, vote here!! tinyurl.com/vobama
