Have you seen all those “no socialism” bumper stickers? Puts a smile on your face, doesn’t it … or maybe they’re localized around these parts. Regardless … we have a president who seems far more fond of socialism and economic fascism than he is of capitalism and free enterprise. Obama even referred to work for the private sector as work conducted “behind enemy lines.” To Obama, the private sector is the enemy.
Some Americans are having a problem with this. Some Americans (although a diminishing number) recognize that it was the private sector, protected by the rule of law, that brought us the world’s highest standard of living, not government. These Americans get a bit uneasy with a president so in love with Government. Well .. the debate is over. I know because the Democrat Party boss has said so. It has come to pass that Howard Dean had to step up and declare the battle between socialism and capitalism to be dead.
Ya don’t say? He said this during a speech in Paris earlier this year. Dean says that the debate between the two is over. What we are going to have is both socialism and capitalism.
Our country has been headed down a path of socialism for years now, and the Democrats seem content to keep it that way. Heck, even some Republicans are okay with an increased presence of government in private business.
I suspect that Howard Dean knows that socialism and capitalism are not compatible. The two will be in eternal conflict in this country until one wins over the other. The debate is far from dead. The problem here is that not enough people are informed enough to be engaged in the conversation.

Why don’t you spend the rest of your life defending Bush?
What a great man he was, made you all rich by killing innocents !
Why don’t you and all your all your private sector health care lobbiests go to Iraq
and rape more people?
