Our Platform
In short, we support an America that:
- Refuses to redistribute wealth
- Obeys the Constitution without fail
- Genuinely supports our armed forces
- Vigorously protects our nation’s borders
- Practices fiscal responsibility and restraint
- Holds politicians accountable for the laws they create
- Defends true equality among all people, and
- Promotes the sanctity of life from the moment of conception
We also support parents’ unequivocal rights to control their childrens’ education and oppose federal government involvement in regulating our nation’s education system. We strongly endorse states’ rights to govern their own education systems as appropriate for each state rather than submit to requirements from an overarching body of career politicians.
Social Security, which is the federal government’s mandatory “retirement plan” for all Americans, is completely and entirely unconstitutional and should be abolished. Every citizen deserves the right to manage his or her money the way he or she sees fit. The federal government holds no constitutional right to establish mandatory “retirement accounts” for the American people.
We reject the government’s involvement in medicine and oppose federal government control over the distribution and availability of medicine. The federal governtment’s healthcare initiative is not supported by the Constitution and must be abolished immediately. A society that is forced to rely on the government to provide medicine also relies on it to prioritize people’s hardships. Drugs become more expensive, doctor’s insurance rates rise and people’s lives may ultimately come down to the mercy of politicians.
We distinctly oppose the Supreme Court’s expansion of eminent domain by allowing the federal government to obtain property from lawful citizens of our nation for virtually any reason, including private interests. Any land obtained and owned by the federal government under unconstitutional means should be returned immediately to the state, or the people.
While we support marriage only between one man and one woman, we do not support the federal government regulating marriage, especially the creation of a Constitutional amendment defining it. We are a free society and must have the right to pursue our lives as we see fit, provided the rights of other people are not infringed. Punishment on the choice of lifestyle is reserved to our Creator, not the government.
We support the second amendment and reject any attempt by government to restrict a law-abiding person’s ability to own firearms. We believe that a disarmed society is a vulnerable society. Our founding fathers understood that when drafting the Constitution. The right to bear arms must not be infringed.
The United States is an independent and sovereign nation and we oppose membership in any global governing body, such as the United Nations. We also oppose the United States’ involvement in wars or other issues overseas and reject the federal government’s supposed “right” to give taxpayer’s dollars to foreign nations. Supporting foreign nations must be a private choice made by individual citizens of our land through appropriate charities.
Further, the United States does not need to be the policeman of the world. We demand that our federal government focus on advancing our nation through effective immigration enforcement and a sound fiscal policy rather than spending hundreds of billions of dollars in overseas projects. We wholeheartedly support America’s right to defend itself against attacks from foreign nations.
We demand that the federal government secures our borders from foreign threats and illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants must not be rewarded with taxpayer funded welfare and businesses need to be punished severely for hiring illegal immigrants. America’s immigration laws need to be followed and the government must check the background of all immigration applicants to the best of its ability.
The United States Constitution provides the federal government with the power to tax the American people, but not for unconstitutional means. Using taxpayer funded money to support big government and unconstitutional programs like welfare or healthcare, or any other unconstitutional federal government program or project, is wrong. The federal government must tax people only to the necessary threshold of performing the constitutionally authorized duties of the government.
We support equal rights for men and women of all races, colors and nationalities. We oppose reverse discrimination policies such as affirmative action and support only a true color-blind society. As Martin Luther King once said, all people should be judged based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Individuals like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are radicalizing King’s message and mocking the significance of his commendable achievements.
Our freedoms need to be protected, even in an age of terrorism. While we support and encourage the federal government to prosecute terrorists to the fullest extent of the law, and to protect the American people from another 9/11 attack, we fail to remain a free society when bits and pieces of our privacy are systematically taken away. As the federal government restricts freedom, the terrorists win. We must fight the War on Terrorism intelligently while keeping our Constitution as the basis for federal government power.
We have the best and brightest serving in our military, and they need to be supported. America owes its existence to the fine men and women serving in our armed forces at home and overseas, protecting our nation and supporting our freedoms.
We encourage all people to be as generous as possible when giving to charity. Giving to charity, after all, IS the constitutional means to provide for those who truly need help, not a government-run redistribution of wealth scheme. Good charities, like the Salvation Army, can distribute funds to those in need far more efficiently than the government can.
