This is one of the wisest opinion articles about abortion I have read in a long time. I have a BA in Philosophy with a concentration in ethics and philosophy of law. It brought back, in shorthand, some of the best discussions I've heard on the subjects of both abortion and natural rights.
Now all we have to do is make the courts give us back our federal republic, and step down from their reign as philosopher-kings. If the Supreme Court could be ignorant enough about the very (definitional) foundation of ethical philosophy as they demonstrated in Lawrence v. Texas, what places them in such a superior position as to think themselves able to force the entire United States to accept their own conclusion on an extremely complex medical ethics issue?
Gimme my country!
Thanx
