Excellent primer on how our founding fathers meant for our system to be set up, and, how far we have strayed from it. Too many people today (unfortunately, "educated", re: brainwashed in government controlled institutions)don't understand this is the way it is supposed to be. They believe the role of government is to constantly bail them out (building homes on the coasts of hurricane areas, building homes in flood prone areas, taking out a mortgage they can't afford, etc.) They don't have to be responsible for themselves anymore. This is what the federal government wants. Power begets power...the more power we allow (remember, it is only by our consent) the federal government, the more it wants...when was the last time you heard a presidential candidate say...I want less government, less of your money and to stay out of your lives. The federal government should be there to secure the borders and provide a strong national defense. Remember, there is a strong inverse relationship between freedom and the federal government's power.
