This article by Mr. Kincaid is disconcerting from a Small Government standpoint.
The focus on the Schiavo case is frightening. First, where is it the government's responsibility to be involved in such cases? None. Just like the government should not be involved with a woman's body and the issue of abortion. Second, Terri Schiavo was disabled like Bill Clinton was just flirting with interns. While sad her case was one of a clinically vegetative person with minimal brain function and her family was only being selfish in wanting the government to allow them to artificially extend the life of her empty body.
Mr. Kincaid seems to be cheering big intrusive government in his supposed anti-Thompson article. This article was nothing more than a chance to dredge up more non-sequitur issues in a time that we should be focused and coming together to push for smaller, efficient, and less intrusive government.
Sorry Mr. Kincaid, your supposed "Fred Thompson is Finished" article was nothing more than a "Government Should Tell Us What is an Acceptable Way To Die" article. Please do what Terri's family should have done and let it go. Please focus on small government and how to achieve it rather than how to allow government to invade my home.
Respectfully,
Tony
