Outstanding. You have literally changed my world view on so many things. Subtle changes mostly but significant. Thank you.

If you read/given these comments...I heard you speak about illegal immigration in a few interviews. A suggested solution:
1.) a 90 day registration period within 6 months of taking office for all illegal immigrants.
2.) Offer a "free"* ID to all those that step forward to identify themselves good for 3 years. Limited Amnesty in a way but at some point within that 3 years they must leave and surrender the ID.
3.) Those found without the ID after the registration date are immediately deported. No roundups (except violent street gangs)...just attrition otherwise.
4.) During that 3 year period...
a.) Congress will debate a fair legal solution to our labor needs and a worthy way to deal with it.
b.) Forrest ranger type lookout towers on the southern and nortehrn borders (no fence in most cases) so Border Agents can observe, deter and control our borders.

Something like that would be a reasonable plan to move forward in a national sense and determine if it is 12 million or 30 million people that are here without permission.
