Love him or hate him, Jerry Falwell's death earlier today has spurred on some truly vicious attacks from the “compassionate” left, mostly through comments made through the Democratic Underground web site. Posters played the part well, sporting icons of big government figures like Al Gore, Al Franken and Harry Reid.

Included below are some of the reactions from fringe leftists, those who claim to be sensitive, open-minded, kind-hearted and compassionate, that our nation has to offer, rejoicing in Falwell's death:

“He's dead. Good.”

“As far as I'm concerned, he lived too long.”

“I am soo ever joyful and heartened at this GOOD news!”

“Rest in Anguish.”

“ROT in Hell you piece of ****!”

“Ding dong the pr*ck is dead....which ol' pr*ck?...the wicked pr*ck.”

“...took too ******* long to kill the sonova*****”

“**** him and good riddance.”

“...may his family join him soon.”

“Rot in the grave you piece of filth...”

“I'm putting on my dancing shoes and am going to look for his grave!”

“The world is a better place now...”

“Be glad and REJOICE - one more evil has been lifted from us!”

“My only complaint is that he did not die sooner...”

“I'm glad he's dead.”
