The Republican Party in Oregon reported today that Ron Paul won the state's Republican straw poll handily by a margin of greater than 50 percentage points.

Paul won 66.96% of the vote, followed distantly by Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, with 15.65% and ex-Senator Fred Thompson who barely squeaked past 10%.

“I was impressed with the organization of the Ron Paul campaign, turning out more than 80 activists,” said the Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party, Vance Day.

A total of 115 votes were cast in the poll.
