SmallGovTimes.comBush, Congress approval ratings hit new low By: SGT News | Published on 02/08/08 Both President Bush and Congress continue to see their approval ratings sink to new lows amid an increasingly frustrated American public over the future of the U.S. economy and War in Iraq. Mr. Bush's approval ratings dropped to 30 percent according to an Associated Press/Ipsos poll released today. Congressional approval ratings are even lower, at 22 percent. Both numbers reflect 4 percentage point drops since the previous poll taken in January. Among those polled, 10 percent of Democrats and only 30 percent of Independents gave Bush favorable approval ratings. 61 percent of Republicans approve of the job Bush is doing.
