Surprise! Cindy Sheehan signs public speaking deal
By: Steve Adcock | Submitted on: 09/16/05EDITORIAL - It did not take long for Cindy Sheehan, the so-called courageous mother who called President Bush a terrorist and sympathized with the Palestinian cause, to start making money off of her dastardly hateful rhetoric.
Cindy Sheehan has signed with an outfit called Speaking Matters in an effort to travel the country seeking sympathetic and similarly extreme audiences, mostly at colleges and universities, to spread her message of anti-military and anti-America hogwash.
Sheehan, considered a hero to the liberal left, understandably lost her wits after the death of her son, Casey, in Iraq during the war. Since then, she has called for the United States to immediately pull out of Iraq, for Israel to cease their "aggression" towards the Palestinian people, has said that the U.S. is not worth dying for, has called President Bush the "biggest terrorist in the world", and has compared terrorists in Iraq fighting the U.S. military to "freedom fighters".
Sheehan's signing with Speaking Matters validates many fears that she would begin using her son's death in Iraq for her own financial gain. No word, yet, on how soon we can expect her book to hit store shelves.
