Ron Paul thanks supporters for huge financial achievement
By: SGT News | Submitted on: 12/17/07SOUTHERN ARIZONA (SGT NEWS) - Ron Paul thanked his supporters on his web site today for managing to break yet another record this election season by raising more than $6 million yesterday with donations from more than 58,000 contributors.
Paul said that he's both humbled and inspired at the outpouring of support from small government believers around the nation.
“The establishment is baffled and worried, and well they should be. They keep asking me who runs our internet fundraising and controls our volunteers. To these top-down central planners, a spontaneous order like our movement is science-fiction. But you and I know it's real: as real as the American people's yearning for freedom, peace, and prosperity, as real as all the men and women who have sacrificed for our ideals, in the past and today,” he wrote.
“All over America, all over the world, we are inspiring real change. With the wars and the spying, the spending and the taxing, the inflation and the credit crisis, our ideas have never been more needed,” Paul concluded.
This latest financial achievement places Paul firmly on course to out-raise all of his competition from both parties in the fourth quarter.
As of the time of this writing, Paul has raised over $18 million in the fourth quarter, easily meeting and exceeding his set goal of only $12 million for the quarter.
