Ron Paul brings in $5 million in third quarter
By: SGT News | Submitted on: 10/04/07SOUTHERN ARIZONA (SGT NEWS) - Texas Representative and presidential candidate Ron Paul raised an eye-turning $5 million during the third quarter of the year, a dollar figure that puts him more in line with other bigger named candidates in the race for the White House.
Paul's third quarter riches brings his yearly total up to $8 million.
The figure leaves candidate Mike Huckabee in the dust, who only managed to raise $1 million, but falls far short of big named politician Hillary Clinton, who took in $27 million.
Paul spoke to Wolf Blitzer on CNN and said he was pleasantly surprised by the total, chalking the resurgence of his fundraising efforts up to frustrated Americans who want change.
