Chris Dodd to drop out of race
By: SGT News | Submitted on: 01/03/08SOUTHERN ARIZONA (SGT NEWS) - After finishing a distant 7th place and managing to pull in less than 1% of the vote in the Iowa caucuses on Thursday evening, Chris Dodd will drop out of the race for president.
Chris Dodd had several high profile supporters behind his run, including actor Alec Baldwin, president of Time Warner Jeffrey Bewkes, actor John Lithgow, actor Steve Martin and musician Paul Simon.
Dodd is a senator from the state of Connecticut. Dodd once served in the Peace Corps, Army Reserves and practiced law before his election to office in 1974.
