Ron Paul’s book rises to #1 on Amazon.com bestsellers list

SOUTHERN ARIZONA (SGT NEWS) - Although the Libertarian-minded Representative from Texas is effectively out of the race for the president of the United States, Ron Paul’s new book “The Revolution: A Manifesto” has quickly risen to the top of Amazon.com’s Bestsellers list.

The book discusses a variety of topics, including the hotly-contested War in Iraq, the Constitution, our economy and civil liberties and the concept of the revolution as a whole, along with a reading list in the back of his book, similar to what may have been provided to Rudy Giuliani earlier in the campaign season. He also reflects on the 2008 campaign season and what little choice the American people will have when choosing our president.

“First, we need to rethink what the role of government ought to be, and fast,” he said in his last chapter. “If we continue to think of our government as the policeman of the world and as the Great Provider from cradle to grave, our politicians will grow worse and worse and our downward economic spiral, the first signs of which we are now witnessing, will only accelerate.”

Barack Obama’s “Audacity of Hope” currently sits at the 113 spot, and McCain’s older “Faith of My Fathers” text has plummeted to 4,758.
