The SmallGovTimes.com in detail
The Small Government Times web site is the leading non-profit news agency embracing limited government and a strong military force in the United States. We work day and night to bring you national and worldly issues important to our society in an effort to encourage thought and expand awareness of how large and overpowering our federal government has become. The Times' headquarters lies in beautiful southern Arizona.
We display articles from dedicated writers around the world that encourage our readers to think about the policies of our time and how they affect our nation. Unfortunately, the Constitution has been put on the back-burner while America's politicians continue to expand their own power, and the Small Government Times is one step forward in returning our nation to its constitutional foundations.
We support an America that:
We distinctly oppose the Supreme Court's destruction of eminent domain by allowing the federal government to obtain property from lawful citizens of our nation for virtually any reason, including private interests. Any land obtained and owned by the federal government under unconstitutional means should be returned immediately to the state, or the people.
While we support marriages only between one man and one woman, we do not support the federal government regulating marriage, and especially the creation of a Constitutional amendment defining it. We are a free society and must have the right to pursue our lives as we see fit, provided no infringements to the rights of other people are made. Punishment on the choice of lifestyle is reserved to our Creator, not the government.
